Dear [member_name_first],

Happy new year and welcome to our January 2010 edition. This monthly newsletter showcases design solutions that The Schimberg Group provides to its clients.
The Schimberg Group understands that collaboration is fundamental towards achieving best practices, sustainable success and Extraordinary Results.

President's Corner:

It’s not just about fluffing pillows

It is to the client's advantage and also the architect's, to have a trained and experienced decorator [or interior designer] with both technical knowledge and an understanding of interior architectural detail so as to be able to assemble intelligently the proper textures, colors, furniture and objects to make a consistent room. If all these things are taken into consideration in the original planning...a great many difficulties can be anticipated.

Interior Architecture and Decoration

Similar to the topic of last November’s newsletter, we begin the new year explaining to our readers the importance interior design has on enhancing architecture.  This holds true for both commercial and residential projects.  Interior design includes all facets of proportion, color, scale and architectural detailing.  Windows are located based on interior design.  Furniture is located based on interior design.  Lighting is based on interior design.  In order to fully achieve a successful and cohesive design, whether the architectural firm has an interior design department or a separate interior designer/decorator is hired, it is critical to combine these two consultants from the onset of the project
